Larry has a very different type of success story. He hired us to do a patent search and other research, as most clients do. Surprisingly, we found his exact invention had already been patented, but not yet on the market. Now the story gets interesting.

The patent holder had paid a small fortune to a patent attorney and had run out of money. He was floundering and had no idea how to turn his patent into money. Larry was a natural born salesman and had some contacts. He was 100% sure Flip-Up Sun Glasses would sell. So rather than quitting, the patent holder was contacted. After some negotiations, a deal was struck. Today the product is on the market, and there are some interesting discussions underway with a large sporting goods manufacturer.
The moral of the story is: there is more than one-way to make money with your invention idea (even when you weren't the first person with the idea).
