The Artley name is a staple in musical instrument history, dating back to the 1800's - especially with flutes. Inventor Jim has now invented a new "thumb key" mechanism that makes flute playing easier and maintenance less costly for students and professionals alike.

Presently available on artist grade flutes, the mechanism is being tested by elementary flutists performing in the Spring 2003 concerts.
